Through time, many people have benefited from the practice of meditation.</p>
<p>Meditation, as practiced by Buddhist monks and practitioners, has become a spiritual tool and health enhancer in one.  More than just the chants and meditative posture, meditation is about proper breathing and concentration of one&#8217;s thoughts.  As a health and spiritual practice, meditation came into prominence centuries ago in the East where people&#8217;s lives and culture demanded a way to “escape” the realities of life.</p>
<p>How do we know if we are already in a state of meditation or just wasting away time with our eyes closed?  Meditation is a state of mind that leads to inner peace, self-fulfillment, self- improvement, and the development of a positive outlook in life. There are two types of meditation; the concentrative and the mindfulness type. Concentrative is more on the person&#8217;s concentration, sitting quietly and calmly with good breathing patterns. It is said that the one&#8217;s mind is somewhat connected to one&#8217;s breath of air. Continuous rhythm of inhales and exhales of the breath will make the person feel more calm and relaxed, focusing on their steady flow of air in and out of their bodies. This will result in the mind being more aware and tranquil at the same time. Mindfulness, on the other hand, involves attention and awareness on passing wave of sensations, images, feelings, thoughts, sounds, smell, anything that your body can interact with. This in turn will give the person a more non-reactive mind state, much like looking at a television, without any feeling or thoughts that can bother you away.</p>
<p>Meditation and relaxation often go hand in hand. In scientific studies, it has been proven that there are health benefits in practicing this kind of activity. By being in a relaxed state of mind, the person is also regarded to as in alpha state, of which is a level of consciousness that promotes good healing. Relaxation in a person is highly recommended, since people always move and think, and by being relaxed it can also give relaxation to the body and mind that will eventually enhance our well-being as well.<br />
Knowing all this, one can see the connection of both scientific and religious factors, all because of meditation. Indeed, this activity shows a unique philosophy that can really help oneself. In practicing such kind of relaxation process, the person sees the innermost self at its fullest. This helps the person in dealing with external difficulties, seeing past all this and in a way becomes humble and calm in dealing with situations. This relaxed state of meditating allows the person in helping oneself health-wise, since this to can take away simple headaches, stress, or even mild anxiety. It began way before, and it will never go away. This kind of activity brings out the person in you. By meditating, this will give you a sense of calmness in a positive state. There are no known facts that this can be harmful to you, so why don&#8217;t you give it a try?</p>

One bar of chocolate is enough to lower the blood pressure in a natural and so enjoyable way. It is also helping to improve the insulin resistance.</p>
<p>It was already known that food rich in flavinols are lowering the blood pressure. Flavinols are also called in a medical scientific language as natural antioxidants, and the aliments that are containing these antioxidants are like tea and red wine, but from now on we will put on this list the dark chocolate, too.</p>
<p>The study was pretty simple. It took place at University of L’Aguila in Italy particular for lowering the blood pressure, so it wasn&#8217;t an accidental discover. At the study participate 20 persons, half men, half women, all suffering from high blood pressure. None of these persons took any medicaments or followed any treatment for lowering the blood pressure. But also they hadn&#8217;t been suffering from another disease and the won&#8217;t smoking. For the experiment to be perfect and for the results to be visible regarding lowering their blood pressure, the participants avoid chocolate for 2 weeks.</p>
<p>The experiments begin with dividing the group in two, one of them ate dark chocolate and the other white one. The amount was the same, a bar of 3.5oz daily for 15 days. Another week passed with no flavionoid foods and the groups swapped the type of chocolate. The white chocolate was the perfect control food for this lower blood pressure study as it containing all ingredients in the dark one but no flavinoids at all.</p>
<p>A very significant lowering of the blood pressure was found on the group that consumed the dark chocolate for 15 days, and not any blood pressure lowering in the group eating white chocolate. Another successful treatment, beside lowering blood pressure was the reduction in insulin resistance at the group eating dark chocolate. Also the bad cholesterol level decreased by 10 percent. At the group eating only white chocolate there was no changing regarding lowering blood pressure or cholesterol level; they were the same as the beginning of the experiment.</p>
<p>But the best natural ways to lower blood pressure still remains exercise and diet and a non-natural on medicaments prescriptions. All these can&#8217;t be replaced with the eating of chocolate. Also it&#8217;s very recommendable and occasional eating of small bar of dark chocolate rich in flavinoids to lower your blood pressure. It is also good for your taste buds and also it is helping your heart.</p>

<p>Weight Training – I use this term loosely. You don’t have to train with weights, but you need to get some sort of resistance exercise that goes above and beyond what a normal day usually entails. Maybe it’s two 45 minute workouts per week and one 20 minute workout. Maybe it’s four 20 minute workouts. It doesn’t matter in the whole scheme of things as long as it’s outside of your normal daily activity. Again, it doesn’t have to be perfect.</p>
<p>Cardio Training – This one is a doozy. You can actually lose stomach fat and get sexy abs without doing cardio at all, but it does help burn stomach fat if you have the time to do it. I’d recommend some form of cardio training at least 2 days per week (not 4 days, not 5 days, but 2!) to speed it up. Like I said earlier, it doesn’t have to be perfect, just mediocre. Maybe it’s two 30 minute cardio sessions one week, and four forty minute sessions the next. One workout can be interval training and the next can be slow steady cardio. It can and should vary constantly. Keeping it varied will prevent your body from adapting, and keep you from getting bored.</p>
<p>So the key is to be, at the very least, mediocre at all three of these aspects of your program. You don’t have to go out and kill it at every workout. You don’t need to do cardio every single day. You don’t need to eat chicken breast and broccoli at every meal. You just need to get out and get moving. Get 75% of it right, and you’re on the right track.</p>
<p>Ideally, you’ll create the &#8220;perfect&#8221; plan consisting of nutrition, weight training, and cardio. A plan that if in a perfect world, you’d be able to do easily. Then simply aim to get it 75% right each and every single day.</p>
